ElvenStats to ElvenArchitect mapping (2024)

Perhaps this is not the right forum to ask this, but I assume many use these tools regularly ...

My Arendyll Gustoff city finally was around long enough to show up in both ElvenStats and be fed to ElvenArchitect.

The resulting map does not match my town exactly ... it has an extra column of 5x5 expansion areas on the westernmost side of the town. In game the town has been expanded as far to the left/west as possible so I expected the ElvenArchitect rendering to show it as such.

Is this just an interface/API issue between ElvenStats and ElvenArchitect, or is there some moment later in my game life when the left side will magically open up another column of land to expand to?

You need to update your own stats. There is a wheel of arrows, below your Fellowship history, that will be blue with a report, 'last updated x days ago'. It will be green when you update it. Then ask for another link to load into EA.

Later, refresh ES, because if you don't, that wheel will still show, updating in a couple of seconds, days later.

My question is not about the updating of the map. It shows the city as it actually exists in the game (I have not really changed it in over a week). My question was why does the extra column of expansion spaces exist in ElvenArchitect? The city is as in game, only 5 squares to the right/east.

In ElvenArchitect

Hmmm
You know, I am not sure, now I will have to load my older cities that filled up that space, and see if they have that space as well.
I could speculate, of course, but will not, to avoid spreading misinformation. Konniver has a message thread on his home server's Forum (International) and on Beta Forum, of course.

When I pull of your city on EA, it looks exactly like the screenshot you shared from in game. Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

It does have to do with updating the map, @Gustoff. You need to make sure you click the arrows in a circle to refresh the city every time before loading it into ElvenArchitect. ElvenStats to ElvenArchitect mapping (5) Here is the screenshot from me opening the page without updating the map (said last updated 17 days ago):

And here is the screenshot from 30 seconds later when I clicked 'refresh city' on ElvenStats and followed the link again:

Listen to the people ... they are trying to help you ... do what they tell you to do ... sigh.

Yes, clicking on the spinning arrows all the way down on the bottom of the page did update the image to show it flush with the boundary in game. Still not sure why the earlier version was indexed over, but all is well in Gustoff-land now.

THANKS!

Elvenstats only gets updated once a week so that may be the issue you are seeing, plus you have to refresh when you get there.

As you grow your city and get into chapters... around 13 if I remember correctly, the game DOES expand.
